Playshare.vip is a Money Game/Ponzi scam! Here’s why.

Made using Canva.

Playshare.vip is a website where its users are rewarded by sharing Play Store app links to various social medias.

It is available only in Malaysia.

URLs/domains:

They only have one URLs/domains operating, playshare.vip.

WHOIS info is protected, the only info I can gather is URL is registered on 8 March 2021. The registrar for playshare.vip is GoDaddy.

The IP address 104.233.161.33 used is owned by Peg Tech Inc. which are based in San Jose, California, USA. Peg Tech Inc is known for its darknet attacks.

They have 3 other “lines” that can be used, but unfortunately I can’t get any info from it.

Reloads/topups:

You need to directly ask the CS for bank account information. So, I won’t bother asking them for the info.

Customer support:

There are 2 ways to contact their customer support. One is via LiveChat and one is via WhatsApp.

The provided WhatsApp number is +60165941468 (see below) that are registered to Digi Telecommunications.

Red flags:

Website UI looks eerily similar to like share:

like share is a money game/ponzi scam website that rewards its users for liking/sharing posts in social media platforms. They closed doors in end of 2020 and like share owner is jailed for a year.

The tasks are too easy to do compared to payout amount:

The app merely asks you to share any game’s Play Store link and shows the proof of the action. This is where the idiom “If something seems too good to be true, it probably is” applies.

Furthermore, I don’t believe that Google has any sort of agreement with Playshare.vip to promote apps & games on Play Store.

Credit center score is just a mere facade:

Credit centre page is just a mere facade to ensure users do the tasks correctly & ensures the websites looks legit.

No matter what you are doing, the credit score will not increase or decrease from 60.

Dubious paid VIP level pricing & perks:

There are 7 paid VIP levels:

  • VIP1 for RM108
  • VIP2 for RM358
  • VIP3 for RM798
  • VIP4 for RM1888
  • VIP5 for RM3988
  • VIP6 for RM8999 (not purchasable yet)
  • VIP7 for RM16999 (not purchasable yet)

Let’s take RM16999 level for example…. do you think anyone will pay RM70 per person to promote their app? If you look elsewhere (such as using Facebook ads), you can get way more value in terms of clicks/reach for RM48.

From the red flags mentioned above, I determined that this website is a money game/ponzi scheme scam! Therefore, you shouldn’t invest any money into this website.

If you already have invested money to the website, PLEASE FOR GOD SAKE STOP INVESTING and withdraw all the money back into your bank account before it is too late.

How money game/ponzi scheme works is they’ll pay returns of the early users with money from later investors. After some time, the operator gonna shut down/abandon the operations of the website because either they achieved set target or they can’t keep up with withdrawal demands from earlier users (because less money came from later investors).

If they decided to do so, the probability of getting your money back is very slim. You can see the victims of Like Share/iShareFans for example.

Stay safe, stay vigilant and stay away from any kind of money game/ponzi scheme websites!
